Description
Pteros_Tupandactylus imperator, 2015.
Coloured with Copic and Tria Markers.
Paper size: A3. Made on Letraset's Bleedproof Marker Pad.
It's weird that I haven't shared this lil' cutie with you guys, since I'm very fond of it both professionally and personally.
If you guys remember, some time ago (well, by today's standards, a loooong time ago) I've hinted my contribution to a special project. Of course the project I'm talking about is Pteros.com (pteros.com/), a Earth Archives creation that is intended to be an open-accessed pterosaur encyclopedia, featuring simple, clear texts with gorgeous artworks from impressive paleoartists (like , , , :iconhyrotrioskjan: and many others). As of now I've provided just two illustrations but I couldn't be prouder.
Anyway as soon as I was approached I already knew what pterosaur I wanted to depict the most: Tupandactylus imperator, the 'Emperor Tupan Finger'. I've already drew this guy (you can find the old illustration here: smnt2000.deviantart.com/art/A-…) but at the time I thought that revamping it was the right thing to do. And boy if I was right.
Perhaps I'll talk more about the process behind this restoration, but right now I'll leave it right here - just in case.
Well, what about the other one?
Go to the site and find it out. Duh.
Cheers
